First Lady Grace Mugabe has declared that the second wife of musician Dickson “Cde Chinx” Chingaira does not deserve to be accommodated in the brand new house built for him by the organisers of the Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima)
Grace was speaking at the handover ceremony of the house in Sentosa yesterday and bluntly said the house belonged to Cde Chinx’s first wife, Patricia.
Cde Chinx’s second wife Ntombizodwa was sitting on his left side in the front row
“I don’t want to turn my back and leave things in disarray.
“Cde Chinx, we know that you are not feeling well and sometimes when a person is not feeling well, he or she would not want to be bothered. Sometimes, people will make decisions for you and you wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone.
“We don’t want to leave this place to hear that people stabbed each other, we don’t want to hear that. Do you agree with me? Ntombizodwa, you are junior and you should accept the situation that you created. You created that situation for yourself and if you didn’t like it, you must have objected. This house will be left for Patricia.”
Cde Chinx who was recently in hospital was seated in a wheelchair and is reported to have asked the First Lady to organise something for his second wife. Grace is said to have thrown the matter back to the Zima chairman Joseph Nyadzayo.
Grace Mugabe was not done. She then turned her sights on Buhera South MP Joseph Chinotimba (Zanu PF) blasting him for posting videos of the bedridden Cde Chinx on social media platforms. She described the move as inhuman and disrespectful. Nehanda Radio
