Zimbabweans in U.S.A pays their last respect to their hero Mr Banda in Dallas Texas

RIP Mr George B.M Banda

Harvest International Church in Garland Texas was filled to capacity and people kept coming to pay their last respect and honor their hero Mr George B.M. Banda on Saturday 29 April 2017. The man was truly loved by many as evidenced by the unprecedented  attendance.

Mr Banda tragically died on 13 April 2017 in Rowlett, Texas in U.S.A.                                  Mr Banda went to work the night before he died and came back in the morning. He went to bed and all his relatives went about their daily routines and he was left alone in the house & only to receive a phone call that their beloved brother had collapsed and he was not responding. Police were called and by the time Mr Banda’s sister and her husband Mr Kahari got home Mr Banda was no-more.

This was so shocking and the Zimbabwean Community in Dallas Texas was left in utter disbelief and a lot of people are still having a tough time dealing with the situation at hand. Mr Banda’s body will be repatriated on Monday May 1, 2017 to Zimbabwe for burial.

George Buchizga Masauko Banda was the first born of Rev Banda & Mrs Banda in a family of 5 boys and 1 girl. He was born in Kadoma Zimbabwe. He attended Chedonje Primary School in Kadoma & he then went to Mazoe Secondary School. After completion of his studies he got a job at Barclays Bank in Kadoma in 1981 and was later transferred to the capital city Harare. He later joined Interfin Bank before moving to America.

Mr Banda is survived by his wife Mary Banda and 3 children.

Mr Banda loved singing and dancing and he used to be a member of CCAP Voice of Mbare, popularly known for their “Nganganga” song . Harvest International Church Members sings & Dance for Mr Banda & bid him Farewell. WATCH VIDEO BELOW !!!
